Ecommerce Website Design for Small Business in Conroe & The Woodlands
I'm Josh, and I build websites for small businesses right here in the Conroe and The Woodlands area. If you're ready to sell online, whether that's a handful of products or a full catalog, I can put together a store that actually works for the way you run your business. No agency runaround. You talk to me, the person doing the work.
This page walks through what an online store involves, what it costs with me, and how the process goes. Read it before you call so you know what you're getting into.
What ecommerce website design for small business actually means
An online store is a regular website with a few extra jobs. It shows your products, takes payment, and tells you when someone orders. That's the short version. The longer version is that each of those jobs has details that matter: clear photos, prices that make sense, a checkout that doesn't scare people off, and shipping or pickup options that match how you deliver.
For most small businesses in Montgomery County, you don't need something huge. You need a clean store that loads fast, works on a phone, and lets a customer buy in a few taps. That's what I build.
What I'll set up for you
- Product pages with photos, descriptions, and prices
- A shopping cart and a checkout that takes cards
- Mobile layout, since most folks shop on their phones
- Basic categories so people can find things
- Order notifications so you know when to ship or prep
What it costs
My pricing is simple. A one-time website build is $100. If you'd rather I handle everything ongoing, the $20/month managed plan covers hosting, edits, and care. If I manage your domain too, that's an extra $5/month.
Stores with more moving parts, bigger product lists or extra features, usually fit better on the $50/month advanced business plan. Every monthly plan has a two-month minimum, and that's it. No long contracts.
Estimates and consultations are free. If you want to see how I keep quality up while keeping the price down, read my take on being a cheap web designer who still builds quality sites.
How the build goes
Here's the honest version of the process.
- We talk. You tell me what you sell, how you want to get paid, and how orders reach customers.
- I gather your stuff. Product photos, descriptions, prices, your logo if you have one. The more you send, the faster we move.
- I build it. You'll see a working version and tell me what to change.
- We test the checkout. I place a test order so we know payment actually goes through before real customers show up.
- We launch. Your store goes live and you start taking orders.
Timelines depend mostly on how ready your product info is. I wrote a full breakdown of how long a website really takes if you want realistic expectations.
Already have a store that's tired?
Plenty of businesses come to me with an old site that's slow, hard to update, or just embarrassing to hand out. That's fine. I do website redesigns for Conroe and The Woodlands businesses, and we can move your products over and clean up the parts that were costing you sales.

The part people forget: upkeep
An online store isn't a set-it-and-forget-it thing. Prices change, products sell out, and software needs updates so your checkout stays secure. That's the whole reason my managed plan exists. You send me the change, I make it, and you get back to running your business. Here's why ongoing maintenance matters if you're on the fence.
If a store sits neglected, it quietly stops working. Payment plugins break, images go missing, and you don't find out until a customer tells you.
Want to see real work?
I put together a case study on a local pest control site so you can see how I approach a small business project start to finish. Different industry, same care.
If you're a small business in Conroe, The Woodlands, or anywhere in Montgomery County and you're thinking about selling online, reach out. The estimate's free, and I'll tell you straight whether an online store makes sense for what you're doing.
