Web Design for Houston Small Businesses
I'm Josh, and I build websites for small businesses. I work out of the Conroe and The Woodlands area, just north of Houston, and a lot of my clients are the kind of shops, contractors, and service folks you'd wave to at the hardware store. If you run a small business around Houston and you need a website that actually works, that's what I do.
No sales team. No account managers. You talk to the person building your site, start to finish.
What houston small business web design costs with me
Pricing is simple on purpose. Here's the whole menu:
- $100 one-time build. You pay once, you own the site. Good if you already have hosting or want to handle it yourself.
- $20/month managed plan. Hosting, edits, and ongoing care are all included. If you want me to manage your domain too, that's an extra $5/month. See the $20/month managed website plan for the details.
- $50/month advanced plan. For bigger builds with more pages and features. That's the advanced business plan.
- $20/month SEO plan. Monthly scans and fixes, new SEO pages, Google rank tracking, and a plain-English report each month. It works with any website and starts with a free audit at /seo-plan.
Every monthly plan has a simple two-month minimum. That's it. Estimates and consultations are free, so you can find out what your project takes before you spend a dime.
How the work actually goes
Most builds follow the same path. First we talk. You tell me what your business does, who your customers are, and what you want the site to accomplish. Then I ask for the stuff I need: your logo if you have one, some photos, your hours, and the words you'd use to describe your work.
From there I build a draft and send it to you. You look it over, tell me what to change, and I change it. We keep going until it's right. Then it goes live.
Timelines depend on how big the site is and how fast I get your content back. A simple site can be quick. If you're curious about real numbers, I wrote up how long it takes to design a website with honest ranges.
What you get in a basic site
- A clean home page that says what you do and where you do it
- A services or menu page
- An about page so people know who they're hiring
- A contact page with your phone, email, and a form
- A layout that works on phones, since that's how most people will find you
Do you build online stores?
Yes. If you want to sell products online, I handle that too. Take a look at ecommerce website design for small business to see how that works. Online stores usually fit the advanced plan since there are more moving parts.
Working on a tight budget
Plenty of small businesses are watching every dollar, and I get it. That's why the $100 build and the $20/month plan exist. You don't need a huge budget to get a decent website. If money's the main concern, read about my approach to being an affordable web designer.
A good small business site doesn't need to be fancy. It needs to load fast, work on a phone, and make it easy to call you.
Around the Houston area
I serve small businesses across the greater Houston area, including nearby towns like Spring, Montgomery, and Magnolia. If you're in the region and want a site built by one person who answers the phone, reach out for a free estimate and we'll figure out the right plan for you.
